The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is composed of the unit's manager, Carol Kramer, five other EAP Professionals, and two Employee Assistance Associates.
EAP Services
The Washington State Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential assessment and referral internal program available to all Washington State Government employees to assist them during personal and work-related difficulties.
The EAP is also available to family members of state employees. In addition, EAP also serves a number of organizations that have contracted with EAP. If you do not know if you qualify for EAP services, please contact the Human Resources Office where you work.

Employee Assistance Program Manager, Carol Kramer, has been with the Washington State Employee Assistance Program since 2003. Carol has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a Certificate of Social Work from Washington State University and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University. Carol is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).
Carol has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. She has spent eight years working in community mental health both as a clinician and program manager. Carol was in private practice for 10 years and prior to coming to the EAP, was the Manager (Outpatient Services) at Magellan Behavioral Health in their Tacoma Office.
