People want to feel valued. People want to hear from others around them that they are doing something right. By recognizing and reinforcing positive behaviors, you can encourage and reinvigorate individual contributors. Acknowledging and appreciating others is a key part of performance leadership.

    Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course you should be able to:

    • Identify the impact that frequent, personalized, sincere recognition has on organizational success.
    • List ways to determine the type of recognition that is best suited for the recipient.
    • Demonstrate a set of key action steps for giving recognition.
    • Demonstrate how to deliver recognition to sustain and encourage excellent performance.
