Succeeding as a Mid-level Manager
01-09-M011
As a mid-level manager you have many roles, like supervising other supervisors, or building alliances with others, both within your agency and with external parties. Doing those things well requires a skill set that you may be unfamiliar with.
This comprehensive course is designed around "real world" issues and situations that state agency middle managers often find challenging. Through a blend of theory, practice, discussion, and "real life" government case studies, you will learn how to successfully approach and resolve these issues. Topical areas include bringing out the best in yourself, your people, and your organization. Since participants often bring many relevant work experiences with them to class, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn by sharing collective work experiences as well.
As a bonus, you will receive a copy of Precision Management written by Rick Lynch.
Note: This course contains a condensed version of The Language of Leadership course (01-09-M308).
