HR Governance 
The Department of Personnel is leading statewide efforts to identify and address workforce issues.

 

By bringing key stakeholders into the process, we can:
  • Foster collaborative discussions.
  • Find shared solutions.
  • Reduce risk.
  • Align workforce and business priorities.
  • Achieve performance outcomes.

 

Our current HR governance structure includes the following groups:

 

Deputies’ HR Management Group
Serves as the statewide operational and policy decision-making entity on HR, HR Information Technology (IT) systems, and management issues.

 

HR Management Advisory Group
Provides guidance on enterprise-wide HR initiatives.

 

Cross-Agency Functional Team
Guides the decisions regarding the state’s Human Resource Management System (HRMS).

 

HR Pandemic Flu Advisory Group
Plans for HR issues specific to a pandemic.

 

Issue-specific Groups
Subject-matter expert groups meet regularly and focus on specific areas of human resources. These include:
  • Classification/Compensation Roundtable
  • Recruiters’ Roundtable
  • Personnel/Payroll Association
  • Training Managers
  • Civil Service Rules
