Leadership Competencies
As part of our response to HR infrastructure changes and the focus on management performance and accountability, DOP researched and developed a number of competencies characteristic of high performance organizations. We then took those and based on input from leaders across the state developed a set of eight leadership competencies which would have biggest impact on accomplishing the Priorities of Government for the state of Washington. Those competencies have therefore been used to guide our leadership development efforts for the state.
