Employees who have received formal written notice from their employer that they have been laid off may be eligible to be placed on the Layoff List(s). Additional information on the lists is found at
Layoff Lists and General Government Transition Pool (GGTP).
- Create and release an employment profile at www.careers.wa.gov.
- Send a copy of the layoff letter you received from your employer to the mailing address, email address or FAX number listed below:

- After completing steps 1 and 2, you must email the Layoff Administrator at information@dop.wa.gov to receive additional information to complete and to have your name placed on the layoff list.
- Data is entered by the Layoff Coordinator at DOP.
- When the process is completed, an email confirmation is sent notifying you that your name and information have been entered on the centralized layoff list(s).
If you need to make a change to your availability you submit to the DOP Layoff Administrator, please send an email with your name, personnel number, and new information to
information@dop.wa.gov.
Remember to keep your contact information updated on your employment profile at
www.careers.wa.gov, including your email address.
The DOP Layoff Resources and Service Center is located at 521 Capitol Way South, on the corner of Capiol Way and Legion.
There are computers with access to on-line resources, and staff to assist you with creating your on-line profile, performing job searches, and applying to Layoff and GGTP pools.
