The General Government Transition Pool (GGTP) is a referral program for general government employees who have been laid off or who are at risk of being laid off. It provides additional exposure for laid off employees who desire to retain or regain employment with the state.

Process for applying to the GTTP:
  • Contact your agency’s human resource office to find out if you are eligible. If you are eligible they can provide you with the GGTP form to complete and return for signature.
  • On the form only indicate skills and abilities that are consistent with the types of jobs you want to be considered for.
  • Your agency’s human resource staff will forward the completed and signed form to Department of Personnel for entry.
  • You will receive a confirmation by mail once you have been entered.

If  you have questions about the GGTP please contact Terri Ybarra at ggtpcheck@dop.wa.gov or call the National Relay Service at 711 or 1-800-833-6384 to be connected with a relay service operator. Give the operator Terri’s number 360-664-6211 to be connected. The relay operator will stay on the line to relay the conversation.
