2.2 Performance Measure Parameters

To accurately report, it is important to know the detailed definitions of each of the performance measures. For example, for the measure “% employees with current performance evaluations”, what is meant by “current” and which employees should be counted?

It is also important to know that the data for the measures come from various sources - some are in the central computer system, some must be agency-tracked, some are in other central databases.

Detailed definitions and sources for each measure are shown in the following document:

How is data defined for the measures that get their data from the HRMS/Business Warehouse?

The documents below describe restrictions that are used to define specific data. These restrictions are used in the HRMS/Business Warehouse reports that provide data for some of the measures. The reports can be found on the Portal under Business Warehouse/HRM Performance Measurement.

Where did the performance measures come from?

Performance measures have been created for managers’ five primary workforce management areas of responsibility. These measures track progress toward desired outcomes described in the state’s logic model for managers’ workforce management accountability and are reported out semi-annually in the agency and statewide HR Management Reports.

To see a summary of these measures, go to standard performance measures.
