The following message was sent to the HR Managers' listserv on 2/15/08
Hi all -
Four quick things relating to the HR Mgmt Report interim version that is due on April 15th:
- The HR Mgmt Overview workshop will be held Feb 21st, and again on Feb 26th. Attached is the workshop announcement and registration info. This is a 90 minute session that will provide information on how to do the new April interim report, news about the performance measures and data, etc. Persons responsible for preparing their agency's HRM Report are strongly encouraged to attend.
- Agency sick leave data is now available on disk from DOP's Planning & Performance Office. We will provide workshop attendees a disk for their agency. If you are unable to attend the workshop, please contact HRMPerformanceAndAccountability@dop.wa.gov to get your disk.
- Agency overtime data is now available. You can access it directly from the HRMS portal at this time.
- DOP will insert the statewide sick leave and overtime data into the new interim report template and post it on our website by next Wednesday Feb 20th. I'll send you a brief note at that time to let you
know it is available.
Please share this message with your staff who need to know.
Thanks,
Julia
2/13/08 New "interim" format for the HR Management Report due April 15, 2008
The following message was sent to the HR Managers' listserv 2/7/08.
Hi all --
This message is a follow-up to the items I presented at the HR Managers meeting on 2-6-08 and gives you electronic access to the handouts we used.
In addition, agencies are expected to submit the Employee Survey analysis and action plans along with their April 15, 2008 HRM Reports. DOP will be rolling this information up and presenting it to the Governor at her May 21st GMAP forum.
- DOP will be offering an overview session on the new HRM Report interim format later this month. The workshop announcement is attached. Please sign up for either 2/21 or 2/26. We will walk through each of the measures, and do Q&A on data access, timeframes, analysis issues, etc.
- Statewide Employee Survey results - attached is the PowerPoint presentation. Feel free to use it internally or cut and paste any part you want to use.
- Time-to-Hire (formerly time-to-fill). After working with a group of agency HR managers, we have arrived at a clarified definition of this measure. See attached handout. Please use the start & end dates shown in this definition as you track time-to-hire for future HRM Reports. With all agencies using the same definition, we will all benefit from improved data integrity and the ability to make valid comparisons.
Note for the April 2008 report only - Since it covers the 7/1/07 to 12/31/07 time period, use your present time-to-hire definition. Just note in the 'comments' section of the template what you have been using as start/end dates.
Hope this information is helpful to you. Thank you.
